ISO 22000:2005 is a global standard and specifies the requirements for management systems for food safety in businesses that operate in the food industry. It serves to control food safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption. The standard requires in addition to the statutory HACCP concept, a quality management system that is regularly reviewed by an external certification authority.

bio.inspecta confirmes as the official certification authority the compliance of the requirements of the Swiss Ordinance on Organic Farming and the Demeter Association for sustainable production and trade.
According to the mgm philosophy natural and sustainable production is a prerequisite for inclusion in the portfolio. Many of the products are internationally awarded and certified organic or Demeter. Accordingly mgm insists on being awarded by public authority as an organic and Demeter organization.
