Mieli Thun

Founded by Andrea Paternoster 1921 in Val di Thon (Trento), Mieli Thun today is managed passionately by his grandson. Like nomads  the honey lover with his bees follows the flower fields in their different flowering. The result is the finest monofloral honey with Italian character and finesse.

Andrea Paternoster is an expert in the field of beekeeping. His profound knowledge of the interplay between bee and flower as well as the influence of natural conditions results in a selection of unique honey products. During the tasting of the monofloraen floral nectar a true taste experience for the bon vivant reveals  - from the savory sweet acacia honey, eucalyptus honey, to the fruity-fresh orange honey and sunflower honey up to the slightly bitter, woody chestnut honey, Mieli Thun leaves nothing to be desired.

Mieli Thun considers the tasting of the honey as the tasting of a wine. Packaged in large glasses, when opening, the nectar unfolds not only his distinctive flavor of fruits, nuts, herbs or spices, but also allows the viewer to observe an interesting play of colors. This seduction of the senses has already inspired some chefs to produce unique and innovative compositions.

The family business Mieli Thun raises honey to a new culinary level - from the popular breakfast ingredient to a creative design element for the finest food preparations.
