Nuñez de Prado

In the heart of Andalusia’s picturesque landscape, in Spain, which is one of the most important places in the world for the cultivation of olives, family Nuñez de Prado has dedicated themselves for seven generations, since 1795 to the production of precious olive oil. 

As one of the first olive oil producers worldwide, the family manages their estate according to strict organic guidelines. The oil is obtained threw dripping and not through pressing. This oil obtained through the system of a slow drip is lovingly referred to as “The Flower of the Oil”. Nuñez de Prado is the only Spanish olive oil producer who obtains its oil through the drip system that requires 11 Kg of olives to achieve one litre of this sumptuous oil. Nuñez olive oils have an acidity level of about 0.1%, which is 10 x less than the maximum levels required to be able to label an olive oil as “extra virgin”. This is the element, which makes this oil amongst the best “extra virgin” olive oils in the world, winning numerous awards for its outstanding quality both in Spain and abroad.

Nuñez de Prado - Olive Oil Extra Virgin Organic

To obtain the strong, natural aroma of this organic olive oil, Nuñez de Prado oil is left unfiltered and is acquired solely from dripping. The so called “Flower of the Oil” obtained in this manner has a gold-brown colour, an unadulterated and one of a kind taste reminiscent of green apples and fresh almonds with notes of baked orange.
